All the way from the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, comes Eagle Rare 10 Year Old. A spectacular Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey, matured for at least a decade before making its way into its distinctive bottles at 45% ABV. What's so distinctive about the bottles, you ask? Well, we're going to say it's the massive bald eagle, wings outstretched, looking like it's about to snatch up some dinner. Distinctive, yes? The whiskey is also pretty distinctive too, boasting full-bodied notes of cinder toffee, orange peel and buttery corn.
Toasted oak gives way to flamed orange peel and maple syrup.
Honey, buttered bread, oily walnuts and a touch of red fruit.
Vanilla, oak spice and a little bit of old leather.

One of the best BOURBONS I've ever tried, the taste, palate, finish absolutely perfect in every way as far as my taste buds are concerned.
Nice Bourbon! It's a little wimpy, but it's not objectionable. I usually have a dram of Whistlepig 10 year rye after a long day. I got this as a gift. It's nice, but I didn't have a bit of a "where's the beef" moment when the glass was emptied. Good flavors...just not quite enough for me. I'm wondering if it's possible to not give 5 stars? Hmmm..... Got one word...Blanton's!
Not many bourbon have this many reviews here. The reason for that is the high quality drink you can purchase for under £40. Smooth as silk, nice long finish. Not as rough as Elijah, so depends what you are looking for. If you want a smooth sipper that doesn't blow your head off, you should give it a go. I prefer Blanton's, so ER takes the very best to beat it. If you like Woodford, Michters or Rebel Yell, you should try it.
As a single malt scotch drinker I wanted to break away and try some different whiskey. My brother in law brought this up from Tenn. and I’ve fully enjoyed it. Definitely a ‘sweeter’ and ‘flavorful’ tasting drink. I will purchase again and enjoy it as one of my favorite bourbons to sip. Love the flavors of each taste!
Massively sweet, honeyed opening, lead onto a rich, thick, spicy taste. Velvety feel with a long, lightly oaked finish. One of the best bourbons out there, especially at its price. A stunner. Serve over the largest ice you have.
