All the way from the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, comes Eagle Rare 10 Year Old. A spectacular Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey, matured for at least a decade before making its way into its distinctive bottles at 45% ABV. What's so distinctive about the bottles, you ask? Well, we're going to say it's the massive bald eagle, wings outstretched, looking like it's about to snatch up some dinner. Distinctive, yes? The whiskey is also pretty distinctive too, boasting full-bodied notes of cinder toffee, orange peel and buttery corn.
Toasted oak gives way to flamed orange peel and maple syrup.
Honey, buttered bread, oily walnuts and a touch of red fruit.
Vanilla, oak spice and a little bit of old leather.

Just ordered another bottle, I’m never without this in my collection. Couldn’t recommend it more.
I'm afraid I must agree with some of the other criticisms of this bourbon. As a mixer, fine, but just a bit too bland to be drunk neat. Now don't get me wrong, it certainly is smooth but a tad inoffensive. The nose starts off relatively promising. Faint aromas of melon and honey to begin with and unmistakable oak. However, the palate leaves much to be desired. Goes down smooth but leaves very little on the tongue. Lasting oak and then.... more oak. Vanilla? Perhaps I was looking for a spicier kick, typical of many other bourbons.
This stuff is brilliant. Real winner for the money. My go to bourbon. Nothing really compares for sub £35 in the Kentucky bracket. Buy if your a bourbon fan!
Tried it last night for the first time and I agree with the majority of the reviewers, it’s a great bourbon...I’ve just ordered two bottles!
This is a smooth, varied bourbon that is quite pleasant to drink. It's primary problem is that it's really not any better than it's cheaper brother in Buffalo Trace. Produced by the same distillery, this just doesn't add enough to warrant the jump.
