Black Bull Kyloe Peated (Duncan Taylor)
This is the 2023 edition of Black Bull Kyloe Peated, a smoky blend of malt and grain Scotch whisky (with a higher proportion of the former) created by Duncan Taylor. It's bottled at a bold ABV without chill-filtration. This is a proper blend. One to put hair on your chest. Like a Highland cow. Speaking of which, that's exactly what a Black Bull Kyloe is, a breed of Highland cattle.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bonfire embers, toasted oak, toffee apples, and smoked malt.
Palate
Orchard fruit, sea salt, brown sugar, lemon peel, and cinnamon.
Finish
Roasted peanuts, caramel, and oak char.
