Probably Orkney's Finest Distillery 12 Year Old 2007 (cask 14270) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A mysterious single malt here from Douglas Laing's Old Particular indie bottling range. No hints to which distillery produced it. Well, actually, there's one hint. It's from Orkney. Otherwise, no hints! The whisky was distilled back in October 2007, and aged in a refill hogshead for 12 years, before being bottled up in September 2020, with an outturn of 369 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Salted lemon, barley sugar sweeties, marzipan.

Palate

Still has a hint of almond to it, with fudge, vanilla, and just a touch of sea salt.

Finish

Hints of baking spice appears – nutmeg and allspice.
