This was first created over a century ago by the Dewars master blender. White Label contains around 40 different whiskies in the blend, with Aberfeldy at its heart.
Honey, peach, apple and wood. Cut hay.
Medium, vanilla fudge, smoke, toffee, heather honey, oak.
Good length, cut herbs, honeyed sweetness.
Fairly new scotch drinker, and I started with single malts. Wanted something more economical and the Dewars 12 was my first foray into blends. So decided on trying the Dewars White as my first "budget" blend. Obviously doesn't come anywhere near the Islay single malts I have gravitated to, but has enough similarities to the Dewars 12 and is decent enough to have as a budget daily sipper. And my wife would certainly prefer me to go through $25 bottles of Dewars instead of $115 bottles of Arbeg 10. Still plan to try some other budget blends, but have been relatively pleased with the Dewars. The 4 stars is for the good value.
Constantly good ,never varies ,been drinking it for years ,having one now . Alba guy beach
I’ve tried a LOT of different brands of blended scotch whiskies. I really enjoy Dewar’s White Label, it’s my overall favorite. To me, it has a nice light touch of smoke, and a mild honey-toffee sweetness. It has a short aftertaste with a hint of spice and pepper. In my opinion, for it’s price point, it’s as good as a blended scotch gets. I mainly drink it on the rocks, but I also drink it neat, and mixed with soda. If you haven’t tried it, buy a small bottle, and give it a try.
Plesently surprised! The first thing that came to mind was..has this any peated SCOTCH blended WITH...
Watched a clip on the recent surge in scotch drinking. Went to my little Canadian liquor store and bought the white label. Great value and it carries a big name in scotch products-Dewar's. That was the tipping point in my low dollar investment. Hadn't had a single malt or blend in at least a year. Nice welcome back to this distinct Scottish spirit. I'm getting a good amount of smokey peat with a rich amber sweetness. Not washed out, it gets your attention.
