From Speyside's Dalmunach distillery comes this impressive six-year-old single malt, finished in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, and independently released by Dràm Mòr, who bottled it up at a weighty 58.2% ABV.
Toffee pennies and gooey, warm caramel.
Generous layers of fruited dark chocolate and silky maple syrup, cushioned by a balance of rich, nutty spice, and woody warmth.
More chocolate and rich malt with suggestions of dark beer, and a dry punchy oak right on the finish.

I had no idea what to expect from a 6 year old whisky, and whilst it struck me as a little feinty, I found this highly enjoyable and at 58.2% abv it certainly packs a punch!! I definitely got the fruit, caramel and oak notes, but I also thought I could detect some hazelnut / praline in there too.
