Dailuaine 12 Year Old 1999 - Dun Bheagan (Ian MacLeod)
This Dailuaine was distilled in April of 1997 and it was filled into casks 90561 and 90562. It was then aged for 12 years, during which time it was finished in Barolo red wine casks before bottling in 2011 for the Dun Bheagan range. A release of 735 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh and fruity with notes of musty orange peels, potpourri, cut hay, mixed conserves and dried peels.
Palate
Chocolate and fruit, aniseed, sherry and mixed peels. Redcurrant jelly, pepper and barley wine.
Finish
Cocoa, malt, red berries and molasses.
