This special edition Welsh single malt whisky from Dà Mhìle was distilled in 2019 and matured in a host of Tokaji barrels. These prized Hungarian sweet wine barrels are hard to come by, and after months of negotiations, the team at Dà Mhìle managed to secure a small supplier willing to let some go. The only catch? The casks had to be collected in person. Thus, the master distiller made a road trip from South Wales to Hungary, the deal was done, and now we have this splendid single malt, packed with notes of dried fruit and cakey spice!
