Cutty Sark
Scotland
Blended
A very popular blend, particularly on the American market, started by Berry Bros & Rudd and named for the tea clipper Cutty Sark, said to be the fastest of its time.
Light, gentle. Cut herbs, floral, custard, hay.
Rounded, mixed peels, lots of barley.
Good length, warming, malt.
£4.29 - £28.50
So so bad! Did people used to drink this in the 70s? Pretty sure I could make better In my bath tub. Just buy any other blend whiskey- bells, grouse etc. P.s It does add to the nostalgic look to a collection... but it tastes like shit
It use to be good. Tastes very cheap
It will make you throw up on the first sip, I was not aware that there is a whisky this bad.
Very good, very different. At first you might dislike it. Then kept around, you will find that its best 26$ 1.75 lighter you can get. cheers.
Very surprised by this inexpensive blend. I was expecting nothing from it, but had to try it. Drank it neat. I think ice, or water would have killed it. It won't knock you over like some blends tend to, but it will cause you to reach for it and pour another dram. I will buy another bottle.
