Craigellachie 8 Year Old 2008 - Battlehill (Duncan Taylor)
A young and lively Craigellachie 8 year old single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Huntly-based Duncan Taylor. The expression sits within the Battlehill line, a collection released to commemorate the 14th century skirmishes between Robert The Bruce and John Comyn. Like all whiskies in the range, the Craigellachie release is bottled at an accessible 43% abv.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bold, characteristic fruit aromas, bolstered by youth.
Palate
Honey, sweet spices, big fruit notes and a cake quality, all wrapped up with a wisp of smoke.
Finish
Back to red and dark fruits, reminiscent of dessert.
