This single malt from Craigellachie was distilled in January 2007 and treated to a 15-year stay in a single refill hogshead. In February 2022, that cask was opened up by indie bottler Douglas Laing, releasing a total of 299 bottles for its Old Particular series.
Juicy barley and vegetal spices with crumbly vanilla shortbread in tow.
Honeyed pear and apple are followed by fresh vanilla pod and barley sugar sweeties. Sawdust and caramel cushion delicate layers of malty spice.
