Craigellachie 15 Year Old 1999 (cask 10465) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A single cask Craigellachie single malt packed with rich spice notes, presented by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. This 15 year old Craigellachie was distilled in April 1999, left to age in a refill butt and bottled in October 2014 with an outturn of 570 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Generously Sherried spices and juicy raisin. Hints of old, leather armchairs.

    Palate

A handsome, oily mouthfeel, carrying spice and flamed orange peel.

    Finish

Goes on and on with yet more Sherried spice and perhaps a hint of smoke.

    Distinctive

On the nose it is not bold you can get sherried spices but palate is very robust with 48,4% ABV. It will cover your mouth with oily, spicy, sherried taste. It has very long finish with sherry and vanilla.
