This 13 year old single malt from the Craigellachie Distillery was aged in just one bourbon cask, which was laid down in August 2006 and eventually cracked open in February 2020. It was then bottled up by House of Macduff as part of the Golden Cask series, with only 189 bottles produced.
Rye bread with farmhouse butter, chocolate digestives, a touch of flint.
Orchard fruit notes pick up here - think clementine and Jazz apples. A hint of black pepper in the background.
Subtly smoky, with more digestive biscuits sweetness.
