Single malt from Craigellachie, bottled by Douglas Laing for its Clan Denny range. Distilled in 2009, it matured in a refill hogshead for a dozen years before it was bottled, non-chill filtered, and without added colour. Only 345 bottles of this Speyside whisky were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fruity Speyside character, dried apples and apricots, with some barley sugar, and nutty grain.
Palate
Crumbly fudge, with allspice, clove, some ginger, and poached orchard fruits.
Finish
Toasty grain, with warm winter spices.
