This right here is the seventh batch of Craigellachie single malt independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It's a 10 year old expression from the Speyside-based distillery - one of the few to still use a worm tub. This is a kit of kit that cools down vapour from the stills to make the spirit, and it's not an actual worm like on the label of this whisky. Thankfully.
Batch 7 is a release of 2,987 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, single grains, bourbons and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Pungent, complex and oily with aromas of toasted vanilla, runny vanilla and overripe banana. That classic grilled pineapple is present throughout among pine nuts and Indian cooking spices.
In a dense palate there’s more exotic fruit and caramel notes which take centre stage with support from some delightfully meaty and funky notes.
A rich waxy element lingers in the finish that's lifted by flickers of spice.

Love the craigellachie waxy texture. Fruits drizzle with caramel and vanilla. Spices finish. Good one to try.
Brilliant example of this big, fruity Speysider with and extra layer of spice from the cask. Takes water and sips like nectar. Love it
Gifted a tasting dram to try in a selection box. Really disappointing. Tasted young and of limited flavour. No peat, no fruit or sweetness...just ethanol. Very pleased £70 wasn’t spent on a bottle.
