The first release from Coachbuilt Whisky, which was founded by spirits expert George Koutsakis and Formula 1 racing driver Jenson Button! This blended Scotch whisky is made with spirits from five of Scotland's whisky producing regions, and married together in ex-sherry casks, building a rewarding flavour profile. Rather glorious stuff, this!
Butterscotch, pineapple, buttered crumpets, and chocolate peanuts.
Gingersnaps, espresso, candied peels, a touch of peaty smoke drifting in.
Heather honey, vanilla-rich malt, dried cherry.
£8.26 - £94.68
Great sipping whisky, I’m a single malt man but this has changed my mind. Perfect ‘go to’ whisky when you don’t want to think to hard on what to have.
Bought this on a whim and pleased that I did. I am usually a malt drinker but wanted something I could have as an every day kind of whisky and this does the trick. Is especially nice with a couple of cubes of ice.
I found this a most pleasing whisky to enjoy of an evening with a splash of water and order a couple of ice cubes. I particularly liked the subtle hint of smoke…It just elevated the enjoyment for me.
I was sent this as a sample and have to say the tasting notes on this site are accurate for me. However, an interesting combination of flavours and notes with definite pineapple on the nose and the twang of gingersnaps on the palate, finished with a mild smokey peat. I imagine you could quickly make an interesting friend of a full bottle of Coachbuilt, to enjoy on a long summers evening.
Very well balanced with great floral notes and smooth finishing.
