Togouchi is a blended Japanese whisky from the producers Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whisky in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The name comes from where the tunnel is located, in the town of Togouchi, which merged with two other towns to create a larger town called Akiota. This is their no-age-statement expression, the Togouchi Premium Blended Japanese Whisky.

Not as good as some Scotch whiskies of the same price, but still good I thought. Sweet mushroom. Very well balanced.

For the price i expected it to be solid but it was just a dissapointment in every aspect. On the nose it has nothing except maybe a little rice. In mouth its just like moonshine no flavors at. With a little water it looses the tiniest thing it has and becomes just water. Aftertaste is just dissgusting also nothing to it. After finishing the bottle it KINDA gets a little better just because i think you get used to it a little bit but it still develops no character. Sad life
I wasn't really impressed by the whisky itself but I'd like to clear one thing up: >This is not real Japanese whisky, with a connection to China. Clear by the label and the taste. This whisky is indeed made by "Chugoku Jouzo" but in this case, "Chugoku" does not mean China. Yes, it's the same kanji but Chugoku is also a name for a region in Japan that includes places like Hiroshima and Okayama. The company that made (or perhaps more accurately, aged) this whisky is located in Hiroshima so hence the name, Chugoku Jouzo. It might be a stretch to call this "Japanese" whisky but it certainly isn't Chinese.
