Togouchi is a blended Japanese whisky from the producers Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whisky in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The name comes from where the tunnel is located, in the town of Togouchi, which merged with two other towns to create a larger town called Akiota. This is their no-age-statement expression, the Togouchi Premium Blended Japanese Whisky.

I think the subtly typifies the Japanese palate. Everything about this whisky is subtle. It has a light colour, subtle flavors and a quick finish. I know the whiskies in the blend are Scottish and Canadian but the blending is definitely Japanese.
So elusive compared to other japanese blends, yet a pungent statment of individuality and character in production provenance. Big top notes of candied apple, give mouth juice and awakening. The length is short, forcing assertion in detection like a quick fire quiz question. Challenge the norm, and make your self realise something different, or and add a bottle that states its own section within japanese blends within your collection.
Like drinking warm honey.
Un gout subtile, pour ceux qui ont un palais délicat, je suis amateur de Whisky qui ne déchire pas mais qui ont du gout
very weird whisky - hard to believe how come this whisky is priced higher than Hibiki or Whiteoak
