A rather robust rye here, dubbed Rabble Rouser, produced by Catoctin Creek in Virginia, USA! This expression is bottled in bond, and made with 100% rye, resulting in warming, earthy, spicy rye wonderfulness. Brilliant stuff, this.
Brown bread with a layer of Nutella, forest floor, toasted sesame, yellow plum.
Classic peppery rye, with a hint of oily oak developing. Still has some stone fruit sweetness running through it.
Cassia, clove, and salted caramel.
One of the nicest whiskey's I've had full stop, a really smooth and easy sipper and you can just taste the quality in what you are feeling on your palate and with the finish. Recently bought the CC Roundstone Cask Proof but this beats it for taste, flavour and profile hands down
