30 year old single malt from the Caperdonich Distillery, released as part of the Secret Speyside Collection. Though the doors of Caperdonich were closed long ago, its whisky can still be enjoyed thanks to rare releases like this one. It was aged in first-fill American oak barrels, and bottled up at cask strength after three decades of rest.
Aromas of ripe damson plums, pear drops sweets, honey and oak.
Rich, sweet fruit flavours of apricot and pineapple, with a gentle spice in the background.
Long, sweet and smooth.
