This is Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Caol Ila. It was distilled on 8 December 2009 and matured for 14 years in a single bourbon hogshead (cask 322862) until it was bottled on 11 December 2023 for the Cask Strength Collection by Signatory. Naturally, this is presented at cask strength, a hefty 57.1% ABV, and just 295 bottles were filled.
Warming bonfire smoke, milk chocolate, grilled peaches, vanilla, oak spice, and lemon peel.
Dried apricot, roasted nuts, sweet herbs, caramelised apples, and smoked barley.
Fruity and smoky.
