Distilled at Caol Ila in 2007, this single malt Scotch spent the next 14 years maturing, including a finish in first-fill bourbon hogsheads. In 2021, those casks were opened by indie bottler Wilson & Morgan, who bottled the whisky up at a robust cask strength of 58% ABV.
Toasted oak and salty oat cakes, whispers of ginger, vanilla, and fiery peat smoke.
Coastal smoke is balanced by crisp apple and buttered crumpets, while candied lemons bring a zesty lift to herbaceous seaweed and peppery peat.
Smouldering charcoal and ash, oily barley, warming green peppercorns, and creamy lemon curd.
