Single cask single malt from Caol Ila, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular collection. Distilled in October 2012, the whisky matured for 10 years in a refill hogshead that yielded a total of 359 bottles when it was opened in 2023.
Vibrant roasted malt and toffee balance earthen smoke and medicinal peat. Charred citrus notes poke through in time.
Earthy bonfire embers, robust peat smoke, toasted sourdough, and meaty malt, with a touch of green apple beneath.
A robust finish with dense oak char and coastal smoke, distant vanilla, and salted caramel.
