This was distilled at Caol Ila on the 8th November 1983 and it was aged in hogshead number 5284 before it was bottled by Signatory on the 12th July 2011. This is a cask strength release of 254 numbered bottles.
Fruity and tangy with notes of salty butter, toast, wet stones on a beach, linseed oil, a little peat smoke, kippers and sweetness.
Rich and tangy palate, with good spice notes, citrus peels, black pepper, malt and lapsang souchong smoke. A little smoked oyster note.
Spicy, fruity and peaty. Notes of conserves and chamomile tea. A little burning cardboard.
