This splendid single malt takes its name from the Canmore dynasty, one of the earliest royal families in Scotland. Carefully selected for its contrast of mellow yet complex character, it's a well-rounded dram, ideal to sit back with whilst you get stuck into a good book on Scottish history, and well balanced for cocktails too!
Rich oak with warming spice and baked apple cake, a touch of vanilla and buttery malt.
Light orchard fruit and citrus, soft baking spice, a trickle of caramel, and peppery toasted oak.
Darker notes of earthy berries creep in, woody malt, creamy toffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Not bad, but I'm glad I just got a sample and not a full bottle. The flavor profile is Calvados/pear brandy, spices (nutmeg?), oak -- tasty enough, but at £35, I'd be much happier with a bottle of Old Pulteney 12, Deanston Virgin Oak, or Tomatin Legacy
Perfect present one of the best , smooth easy to drink no harsh afterburn will buy again
I have tried many different whisky styles and found this to be up there with the best. Upon opening the bottle it was like a really good fruit cake, fruit & spice aroma and brought a smile to my face. On the palate it was deep and rich with a long finish of dried fruit. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good quality dram.
I thought it was very pleasant. A good solid performer without anything too radical going on. It was on special so decided to try it out and I would definitely do it again.
Absolutely lovely everyday whisky. A great choice!
