~SUPERBE~COGNAC Satisfying, sipping XO Rich orangey/spicy caramel swirl, one of the BEST at this price point Grab this for sure, the other big houses do not come close...
I think we have to be careful to ensure we are reviewing the XO & not the Grand Champagne XO, which are different products at different price points. The XO is a very good cognac for between $AU100-110 (for Aussie buyers, some lads at Doncaster in Melbourne will be your best bet). It has a lifted & slightly spirity nose, especially if you stick that nose too far into the glass, but lovely vanilla, caramel & orange peel if you don't. The palate follows through with creme brulee & orange, spice & lifted alcohol, as well as some woody notes. It's not harsh unless you want to hold it in your mouth to play around. Even then, it's it stuggles to get brutish.
Delightfully fruity and a gem for under £100. Take it slow and savour. Go ahead and have a treat with this stunningly warm cognac. MZB
This is the second bottle I've been lucky enough to have - smooth, good legs and exceptional a little warmer. It is a real treat and perfect for someone who is 'new' to Cognac.
I like it
