Only 254 bottles of this single cask, single malt Scotch whisky from Bunnahabhain exist, bottled under the Staoisha name. This peaty Islay expression has spent seven years maturing in a first-fill Ecuadorian rum barrel between 2013 and 2021. After the characteristic, light rum personality had worked its magic, indie bottler Brave New Spirits snapped it up for its Rebels - The Guerilla Casks collection, which highlights cask maturations and finishes you don't see every day!
Maritime smoke mingles with fresh baked banana bread and muscovado sugar.
More herbal smoke, with estery bananas cooked over the BBQ, driftwood, crème caramel and peppery spice.
The vegetal smoke lingers, with spicy brown sugar.
