Bunnahabhain's Stiùireadair single malt pays homage to the distillery's shoreline on the north-east coast of Islay. They used whisky matured in first and second fill Sherry casks, with a leaning towards deliciously coastal malt.
Brine, toasted sugar and caramel-drizzled raisins.
Honey-roasted nuts, cinnamon and clove, with a touch of salt sea too.
Sherried peels and chilli-chocolate.

When I first smelt it, I was briefly reminded of a well known Irish malt whiskey! I agree with the tasting notes of dried fruit, nuts and vanilla, and a little brine and spice. Smooth tasting and with no burn. Not as complex as some of my favourite whisky's; however as someone else said, it really opens up with a little water.and is rather good. I paid 25 of my best British pounds for it, which is a bargain.
Very nice Whiskey, full rich flavour but without the smoke which makes a change from the smokey Islay whiskeys which I usually go for.
Really nice nice whisky for £25. Like the sea taste that comes through.
Paint stripper comes to mind, i shall use it for liquer coffee. The cap came off the stopper, would not buy again.
Have had it twice. Its a lovely malt tastes of the sea compares with the 12 yr old and you can pick it up at a good price
