Bunnahabhain's Stiùireadair single malt pays homage to the distillery's shoreline on the north-east coast of Islay. They used whisky matured in first and second fill Sherry casks, with a leaning towards deliciously coastal malt.
Brine, toasted sugar and caramel-drizzled raisins.
Honey-roasted nuts, cinnamon and clove, with a touch of salt sea too.
Sherried peels and chilli-chocolate.

Subtle and refined. An undemanding, yet very satisfying malt for a winter's night or a summers evening.
I tend to go for the sweeter tasting whiskies but thought I'd give this a try and I actually really like it. I definitely got the hint of brine and it's a wonderful tasting Dram. I think it's time for me to venture out into different types of whiskies.
Beautiful nose followed by a delicious typical Islay palate. Glorious flavour
Great taste and aroma, it takes a bit of time to savour it but then all the aromas are coming up, let it in your glass to breath a few min and enjoy !
A little disappointed to be honest. The worst whisky I have ever tasted was the Haig Club famously promoted by David Beckham and this tastes a little like that one. Little complexity, seems like ethanol mixed with caramel in the main. Hard to recommend.
