Has there ever been a moment when you've been sipping Bulleit Bourbon and wanted it to have even more rye? Well you're in luck, they now have their own Rye whiskey! Bulleit Rye is made with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is produced in small batches. An absolutely stunning rye that won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
Big heaps of cherries and vanilla, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco.
Rather hot at first, the spices coming to the forefront. This is followed by peaches, more cherries and a little bit of orange zest.
A smoky finish, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweeties.
The Bulleit distillery sure know their way around a rye whiskey.

Always been a rye fan and this is my fave. A steal for under $30. Makes a great Manhattan.
I bought a bottle to make some affordable Manhattan's. Pretty dissapointing, should have gone with my usual mixer rye, dickle.
It's very like an Irish Pot Still spicy and buttery with loads of vanilla, needs some water or three cubes of ice to melt and is too drinkable!
Bulleit, despite their heartwarming backstory, is not a distiller. They purchase their whiskey wholesale from a massive industrial scale Lawrenceburg, Indiana alcohol plant and bottle it under their own name. They are very shy about telling you this, but there it is. Kudos to the fine people in Lawrenceburg for a fine whisky, but to Bulleit, liar liar pants on fire.
This is fantastic either with ice or, mixed. Makes a really good Old Fashioned (skip the fruit and soda water). Love this rye with just a pinch of cane sugar, 4/5 dashes of bitters, and a splash of ginger ale to wet the bitters. Add Ice, rye, and top with more ginger ale. Very tasty indeed! Love this. Try the Bulleit 10 year bourbon, it's amazing!
