Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon like the Americans do! Previously it has been bottled at 40% ABV for the UK market, but now you can get the Frontier Whiskey at 45% ABV, just like they have in Kentucky. A stunning whiskey that won a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012.
Give this a go in a smashing Mint Julep cocktail following the recipe below!
60ml Bulleit Bourbon
20ml Simple syrup (1 part sugar to 1 part water)
8-10 mint leaves, and three mint sprigs.
Pack a julep cup with crushed ice so it can start getting nice and cold. In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, syrup, and mint leaves. Use a muddler to lightly bruise the leaves in the glass to release their flavour, then strain the contents into your julep cup. Garnish with three nice big sprigs of mint, (give them a little pat first, to release their minty aromas!) – then stick a straw in close by.
Bright with orange zest, toasted oak and vanilla.
Further orange notes, followed by some warming winter spices and a hint of tobacco leaf.
Smooth and spicy.
A new style of Bulleit (at least for us), but it's still as brilliant as ever!

Absolutely incredible. Very smooth, with lots of vanilla and fruit; quite sweet. So easy to drink, you'll find the bottle empty in no time. Will buy again... and again.
Its unbelievable how smooth this is.Iyou can drink it neat at room temperature almost like red wine.
This is one hell of a peculiar yet fantastic bourbon! In many ways typical - oak, leather, vanilla, sweetish, viscuous texture - yet crisp, crunchy, citrussy and with a stunning, pronounced cherrycola finale that burns without scalding, if you get my drift...wow.
Nose. Big, spicy rye, orange zest, toasted oak, wood smoke, dried banana, cream custard. candied almonds, Brazil nut, cinnamon, bubblegum. Taste, again rye spice, bitter peel, caramel, dry oak, apples, custard, pastry, brazil nut, tastes much the same as it smells. Finnish. earthy and nutty Excellent price, high quality. I'd put this bourbon at 6-8 years old. The oak is there but it's not heavy tannins as some older bourbons can be.
I prefer to drink it neat, but even when mixed this is one of the best bourbon's I have ever had bar none. I detect a subtle caramel/toffee note at the finish which gives it a very unique flavor.
