The very first 10-year-old single malt to be wholly distilled, aged, and bottled following Bruichladdich's resurrection in 2001. A true milestone bottling, and a splendid collectible.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

A superb wee dram that i feel is very well balanced and that all whisky lovers will enjoy. The first bottle I had of this impressed me and the second I have didn't fail to impress either. At this price you cant go wrong really.
It carries much of the islay smoke in it's flavor, but none of the fire of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. Falls surprisingly flat.
As an experienced drammer myself. Many year, many whiskies I would like to suggest that such an arrogant stand-point on whisky shows you to be uneducated. If you want to develop an educated palate you need to try many different whiskies, not just the ones at the top of the pack (and price range!).
I have always taken the view that offerings from the Bruichladdich school of distilling are rather like being educated at a comprehensive school - ok but much better out there. If you want to develop an educated palate such as we experienced drammers have then you need to move up the ladder to some of the 1970's Ardbegs and Bowmores.
Complex and real Bruichladdich style. Seabreeze, flowery, lemon and some honey on the nose with nice sweetness, fruits and oak on the palate. A new favourite in the "lower" price segment and I really hope future entry level bottlings will have the same high quality! Soooo tasty....
