The very first 10-year-old single malt to be wholly distilled, aged, and bottled following Bruichladdich's resurrection in 2001. A true milestone bottling, and a splendid collectible.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

.. non chill filtered, not coloured, and at 46%. Not a bad start. Then it goes on to give a rather scottish welcome. Take me as I am. I am young and fresh and from Bruichladdich. I think it is the refuge of weary whisky drinkers. Fresh and bright , but not light, it takes a wee bit to get used to. I think they have got this just right. It is the taste of an islay whisky that is just that. There is no overlord banging the big smoke and peat drum here. It has it's salt and later gentle sweetness, balaced with early tastes that set the scene. I think it's magic.
For those who may have been disappointed with some of the more recent releases from Bruichladdich and yearn for the quality standard set by the old core range then your in for a treat. Thick and oily with that instantly recognisable Bruichalddich maritime tang, this is a fabulous whisky that has captured perfectly the wonderful characteristics of the previous 10 year old and somehow improved upon them. Beautifully balanced and dangerously easy to drink - it's a 'must buy' whisky.
