Single cask Braeval single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing. This whisky was matured in a refill sherry butt for 20 years - from December 1997 to February 2018 - before being bottled at 51.5% ABV for the Old Particular range. A release of 652 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Thick caramel mixed with treacle. A hint of red wine and stewed plum.
Palate
Chocolate ice cream, sugared almond, raisin and apricot.
Finish
Vanilla-rich malt, Ribena, nutmeg.
