Braeval 15 Year Old 2001 (cask 13270) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
15 year old single malt from the Braeval distillery (previously known as Braes of Glenlivet, for the old-school whisky fans out there), matured in a single Sherry butt from December 2001 to February 2017. This was independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range, with 677 bottles produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Strawberry jam, shortbread biscuits and a hint of almond.
Palate
More almond sweetness develops on the palate, now joined by cacao nibs and cinnamon.
Finish
Nutty and drying.
