    Braeval 12 Year Old 2009 (cask 15378) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

    A single cask bottling of Braeval, released by the marvellous Douglas Laing! This one was distilled in August 2009, and filled into a refill butt cask, where it matured for 12 years. After this, the single malt Scotch whisky was bottled in November 2021 for the Old Particular range, with 898 bottles produced.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Buttery, with hints of fresh barley grist and some festive spices.

    Palate

    Treacle, honeycomb, stem ginger, and a flourish of oak.

    Finish

    Juicy barley, with clove and cinnamon, and a flinty touch.
