Distilled in 2013, this single malt from Royal Brackla spent nine years maturing in a combo of first-fill bourbon and re-charred hogsheads. An independent release of 1,125 bottles from James Eadie.
Sweet, malty biscuits and toasted nuts lead while drizzles of honey support fragrant oak char.
Apple and pear pastries, vanilla, and creamy malt, with a touch of anise and spiced plum.
Nutmeg and ginger bring a touch of warmth to the finish, though things remain sweet with vanilla biscuits and butterscotch aplenty.
