Royal Brackla 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 13552) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

This is a 10 year old single malt from the Brackla Distillery (the first Scottish distillery to receive 'royal' status, we'll have you know!), independently bottled by Douglas Laing. It was distilled back in March 2009 and left to age in a refill barrel for a decade, before being bottled in February 2020. Only 301 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Bright and fruit-forward, with tangy pear, papaya and lemon.

Palate

The fruit notes are subdued somewhat on the palate, with barley and spicy oak moving to the fore.

Finish

Creamy vanilla sweetness sticks around on the finish.
