A Travel Retail release from Bowmore, Black Rock is matured predominantly in Spanish sherry casks for a sweet but smoky dram. Plenty of rich fruit, chewy vanilla and peat smoke, all well balanced, and in a nice big litre bottle!

Bowmore is one of my favourites, but this is a terrible whisky. NAS - only 40% ABV - E150: This are not exactly markers for the good quality of a whisky. Nevertheless i wanted to give it a try at this price. It was an utter disappointment. Nose: Weak and way too restrained. Palate: Way to young and bitter. Tastes like some cheap hooch. Finish: Bitter, bitter, bitter. This Whsiky seems to be Bowmores Dump for failed young Sherry Casks. It is one of the very few single malts i know that is improved by Coca Cola and ice. I dont know what to do else with the rest of the bottle....
Great Islay dram for a good price. Well balanced and easy to drink.
Perfectly balanced, always have one in my collection
Lagavulin without medicine taste. Excellent malt. Will definitely make this one of my favorite
Great! I love it!!
