A Travel Retail release from Bowmore, Black Rock is matured predominantly in Spanish sherry casks for a sweet but smoky dram. Plenty of rich fruit, chewy vanilla and peat smoke, all well balanced, and in a nice big litre bottle!

Really different, but in a good way. I think it's a great whisky
I picked up a bottle of this from the airport and was pleasantly surprised and glad that I did. Thoroughly enjoyed the smoke and peat with that hint of vanilla flavours coming through. Well worth a try at the very least.

For those of us who love finding vanilla, rich sherry, cinamon and toffee, coming together with peat smoke in a SM whisky this one will fulfill the expectations. Excellent balance between richness and smoke & also with a fair price.
I am a huge Bowmore fan. The 18 year has been my favorite distilled beverage for quite a few years now and I have celebrated many peak life moments with it. I brought the 15 YO Darkest to the company year end party last year and the entire bottle disappeared, most of it down the chairman's throat. I picked up the Black Rock in the duty free shop on my way to Taiwan for this years party. Ugh! What a disappointment! Sweet, syrupy hogwash.
