Released in 2016, this is a well-sherried single malt from Islay's Bowmore distillery. Matured for nine years in a combo of bourbon and sherry casks, Bowmore's distinctive smokiness still shines through.

First class I had from the bottle: Weird, damp taste. Smoke and sherry, but something that me and friends could not describe. I was disapointed. Second class next day. I let it stay in the class fot hour or so. Still this weird taste, but not as strong. Smoke, sherry maybe some raisins. Couldn't tell becouse of that weird undefiend taste. Disapointed. More than month later.. Taste and nose evolved with air. Sherry, smoke, plum and citrus. Leather in the after taste with some sweet sherry notes. Very happy and one of my favorites at the moment. Open the bottle. Let it be for month or two.
i love a dram with a cigar smoke background , this however is fag ash right up front , bad reviews have got it right , doesn't matter what the price or what the age , good whisky always shines through & bad whisky is always just bad ! this is the latter , bad
Bought this at what I thought was a reasonable price, but paying £5 would have been too much in hindsight. Sherry, peat, smoke all there, but it just doesn't work, terrible industrial aftertaste that's hard to describe. Avoid!
This is pretty different from your standard whisky. I like it becaue it is a peated sherry influenced whisky. I managed to get this very cheaply in a supermarket but will be happy to pay the price on here for it as its unique. Would definitely consider older peated sherry influenced bowmore. Also well done for putting age on it.
Decent Enough, Just not what i thought it would be.
