The Kinship collection from independent bottler Hunter Laing is a periodic series celebrating the ongoing development of its own Ardnahoe distillery. This 27-year-old single malt hails from Islay's Bowmore distillery, a release of 366 cask-strength bottles.
Mineral and medicinal on the nose, along with lemon zest, fresh linen, and a lovely creaminess. Exceptionally soft and velvety on the palate, we have an oily pepperiness, crushed sea shells, and grapefruit. The finish has lingering brininess and a faint wisp of peat smoke.
