The heart of the Bowmore range, the 12 year old exhibits some beautiful coastal notes with a gentle peat, it is the balance that the floral element presents that makes this a great entry bottling for Bowmore.
Coastal smoke and ash soon make way for bergamot, orange zest, lemon slices and some hay before becoming rather floral, heather smoke now competing with the ash.
Lovely and rounded, honeyed even, initially. Vanilla, perfumed smoke and coastal elements develop. Dark Peat. Blossom, oily sweetness.
Smoky and long. Sea spray, dry grass, a touch of ash and citrus.
Classic stuff and the heart of the Bowmore range. Smoky, fruity, coastal, delicious.

I didn;t know about a brand before I bouht it on the promotion.Bottle looks normal but taste is lot of better athan any whisky at averange price.Good quality, strong but also smooth and little smoky taste.Has good and natural smell. My husband is a whisky lover and he said it one of the best whisky he ever drink.
Bowmore 12 is a true standout, embodying the essence of the Bowmore range. In essence, Bowmore 12 is a classic, smoky, fruity, and delicious choice – a must-try for those seeking a sophisticated whisky experience. Highly recommended for its impeccable balance and complexity.
Honey, mango, and smoke. Wow what a flavor profile for a scotch. I got this as a gift because I ignored it looking at the reviews here and other sites. It's something else it's just an amazing taste profile that's so smooth and yet has a lot with oban 14 has going on but in a more tropical direction with more smokiness. I bought this along with the clynelish and damn they're both good it's just the bowmore is so unique, like the oban in its taste profile that it makes it more desirable me.
Slight smokiness and smooth easy to drink. Not sure I’d buy a bottle but I’d be happy to be poured it.
I get almost nothing on the nose except for pepper and a faint hint of smoke. On the tongue it is anemic, with a very watered down mouth-feel, and a very short finish that leaves almost no flavour lingering in the mouth. It has caramel colouring, which is also less than desirable. I’ll likely never buy another bottle. Disappointing as I like Islay malts. I would recommend Ardbeg, or Laphroaig, or bunnahabhain which are not much more expensive for a more reasonable Islay expressio
