Booker's True Barrel Bourbon, named after Booker Noe, Jim Beam's grandson and former Master Distiller, was first released in 1992. A small batch straight Kentucky bourbon, each batch is generously matured and bottled at cask strength, resulting in rich, full-bodied whiskey. Perhaps a drop of water or two wouldn't go amiss with this intense expression.
but taste is subjective, so to each his/her own. As for me, I find this overproof bourbon a tongue-numbing & belly-warming delight. Once the surprisingly not unpleasant burn subsides & the feeling returns to my tastebuds, I get a sweet & woodsy sensation that lingers just long enough to want more soon, but not too soon, as it is a drink to be enjoyed modestly, savored, making this (in my opinion) excellent whiskey an excellent sipper, not for guzzling like a pig.
Nose: Buttery, wood, spice Palate: Butter, baking spice tobacco, baking chocolate Good bourbon neat or with ice ball
One of the best bourbons, especially at this price. very smooth considering the high alcohol content.
Buttery pancakes and fresh black pepper are dead on. Love the nose and finish.
I've bought 2 bottles of this after enjoying the first bottle so much. The strength and quality for flavour is great. If you enjoy a nutty bourbon I would recommend this
