Single malt from the brilliant Blair Athol, distilled in November 2009 and filled into a single sherry cask to mature for 11 years – plenty of time for the cask to impart its rich, fruity spice. In 2021, the whisky was bottled up by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for The Cooper's Choice series, with a total of 276 bottles produced.
Spiced fruitcake, orange peels, soaked sultanas, and rich, roasted barley.
A touch of nutty maple syrup with sweet cinnamon accompanying a host of dried fruits. Warming spices pick up, with musty oak beneath.
The oak picks up with warming, peppery spice balanced dried berries, caramelised nuts, and candied orange.
