Big Peat has reached double digits! In celebration of Big Peat's 10th birthday, Douglas Laing has released a limited edition 10 year old expression of the Islay blended malt Scotch whisky. As ever, it's packed to the brim with delicious smoky notes, and is a worthy toast to the legend that is Big Peat (and his natty yellow turtleneck jumper).
Roasted peanuts, petrichor, a hint of fresh pear cutting through the savoury elements.
Meaty malt and BBQ char, balanced by toffee and pineapple. A touch of new leather and tobacco.
Honey on toast, slightly leafy, plenty of peat smoke.

Ding dong... what a pong!! I love to hate smokey whiskies but this is tremendous. Remarkable 10 years old small bact bottling. 2 bottles down... sharing with my Big Peat friends. #lockdownpeat
A fantastic dram more subdued than the regular Big Peat, likely from the longer maturation, same signature aromas and taste of smoke, ash and peat, however with apparent hints of soapiness that is sometimes found in older Bowmores. A bottle worth having in at home to enjoy.
Top dram to celebrate 10 years of Big Peat
