Big Peat Mizunara Cask Edition was created in tribute to 75 years of Douglas Laing whisky. A beautiful blend of Islay single malts aged for at least a decade from the likes of Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila, and the legendary Port Ellen was finished for two years in Mizunara virgin oak casks sourced from Hokkaido, Japan. It was bottled at 48% ABV without artificial colouring or chill-filtration to let the character of the cask shine. Expect notes of sweet coconut, gentle spice, and sandalwood to accompany the usual array of coastal, rich, and smoky peaty flavours you get from Big Peat whisky.

genuinely delighted with the bottle I bought. Opened it at the weekend and I was blown away by the quality and depth of character and complexity. The islay / Mizunara quality is very apparent and moreish!
