A splendid single cask Benromach! This Speysider was distilled in 2009 and was left to mature for in a first fill bourbon barrel before being bottled in 2018 at a punchy 59.8% ABV. Only 247 bottles were released, exclusively to the UK market.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buckets of baking spices, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove, with a handful of dates.
Palate
Melted dark chocolate, orange peel, mint leaves and vanilla custard, veiled by a whisper of smoke.
Finish
Milk chocolate and citrus return, with more of that lovely peat smoke lingering on the finish.
