Part of the Cask Strength Collection from independent bottler Signatory, this Benrinnes single malt spent 25 years maturing in a pair of hogsheads between October 1996 and July 2022. The casks yielded a total of 535 bottles, with natural colour at a robust 56.9% ABV.
Layers of crisp, fresh orchard fruit, honey, and buttered fruit scones.
Quite floral with notes of poached fruit, summer berries, and fruit tea, backed up by crumbly shortbread and spiced apple tart.
Vanilla joins yet more buttery pastry, toasted nuts, and sultanas, with whispers of fennel seeds and creamy chocolate.
