Sherry
Benrinnes here, bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. The Speyside Scotch whisky was distilled in 2010 and left to mature in olroso sherry casks until 2023, when it was bottled at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration or additional colours.
Orchard fruit and creamy grain, with some redcurrant, and sweet honey.
Floral, with apples, grapes, toasted almonds, and some cinnamon spice.
Berries linger, along with some milk chocolate.
Benrinnes is generally very good but this is on a different level. A truly beautiful sherried dram.
